What if Atlas shrugged?
What would happen if Atlas shrugged?
Straightened his shoulders and let them droop?
Will all the burdens fall off, roll over
Hither and thither, weighing down the earth?
Can the earth despite this load, still give birth to new
Seedlings, sprouting and peeping out of its bosom?
Will life still rear its head, rise up to the sky whilst earth
Displays crisscross patterns of dead zones and live ones?
Methinks yes, life will spark, ignite a bonfire in the sky
As it tries harder to rejuvenate, creating quakes and waves
We shall overcome, happen what may as where there is
Hope, there is life and where there is life, there is progress
History has taught numerous lessons and we have overcome
The whole spectrum of calamities, survived them and thrived
So, even if Atlas shrugs, so what, we shall still overcome and
Bear the unshouldered burdens with great panache and aplomb.
Bravo!

Hi Bina..
Liked the thoughts behind this one...What is life without adversities...We shrug and move on from one to the other...
So, even if Atlas shrugs, so what, we shall still overcome and
Bear the unshouldered burdens with great panache and aplomb.
Bravo!
