The Fountain
The fountain was visited by people from all over the world. It was a marvel to behold
and sported lovely ornate reclining statues carved by European master sculptors and
some figures had water coming out of their mouths and the jars that they were holding.
In the evening colorful lights enhanced the fountain's beauty multifold. Legend
had it that it was lucky to throw three coins with one's right hand over one's left
shoulder into the Fountain. City and village folks from near and far all came to
the fountain to toss coins and make wishes…

The Forest was dressed like a blushing bride seated in a bower of blooming flowers.
All the fairies had descended from their land way above the horizon and had gathered
To do the midsummer's night dance ritual in this lovely blooming glade. Fireflies, goblins and elves flitted hither and thither with excitement. Forest creatures of all denominations
too had gathered mesmerized. Ethereal music in surreal surroundings gave it all a very
dreamlike quality.. Soon the last dance was over and they all sat down on mushroom heads and blooming flowers to chatter.
They quickly went through the whole agenda of the evening deciding who will do what
in the upcoming days. There was one issue on which they all agreed. And that was of
the tiniest and youngest fairy Moonbeam. Lovingly everyone called her Tinkerbell.
They all felt that tinkerbell was naïve and wet behind the ears and needed to
Get experience firsthand about the world and its workings. So, they all decided to leave
Tinkerbell behind near the Fountain for one whole month to gain some experience of human desires, woes, wishes, happiness and aspirations. Soon they made a beeline and flew away saying tearful goodbyes to their beloved Tinkerbell.
Tinkerbell was quite bewildred at first.
Then she perched on the lap of one of the statues and surveyed her surroundings.
She was quite enchanted by the Fountain and all those people in odd looking clothes
throwing coins and making heartfelt wishes. Then the visitors would take family pictures,
and then depart, invariably looking over their shoulders wistfully, wondering if their coins will bear fruit.
Tinkerbell with her magical abilities could read all the wishes that came with the tossed coins. They were all rising from the water like rising steam reverberating in the skies creating an uproar of pleas above the clouds. She decided that she would pick one person and help realize those wishes. The only requisite was that the desire should be a real need and give succor to the person for whom it was made.
