Crisis and Serenity
Today my state of serenity
Had enemies beating at the walls
A brewing crisis and rising palls
Tried hard to make inroad calls
Equanimity beat all these squalls
My serenity stayed unmauled
Alarm bells rang and trilled
Emergency shook strong willed
Grace and acceptance seesawed
Hope hung tight on wing and prayer
My serenity fought off all these dares
Faith, hope and charity were taught in school
Forgiveness and acceptance are also great tools,
Those who advocate these are no fools
They help in centering mind, body and spirit
My serenity was achieved by this tenet
Today my state of serenity
Had enemies beating at the walls
A brewing crisis and rising palls
Tried hard to make inroad calls
Equanimity beat all these squalls
My serenity stayed un-mauled
Prayers, acceptance, grace,
Focused presence of mind
Timely action unrelenting vigil
All created magic and miracle
My state of serenity stayed put
Thus crisis was weathered and conquered!!!
